Established in 2000, Roborobo (CEO: Chang-nam, Jang. www.roborobo.co.kr) is Korea’s foremost educational robot company. With mandatory coding education in schools coming into effect this year and coding education gaining traction around the world, Roborobo has an eye on an aggressive strategy focused on both the domestic and overseas markets.

Currently, the company’s product list for educational robots includes the educational humanoid robot, ‘Romanbo,’ the coding robot for youngsters, ‘UARO,’ an educational kit using Scratch and Entry compatible paper toys, ‘Coding Story,’ a Lego block type educational coding robot, ‘Robo Kids,’ and ‘Robo Kit,’ a robot kit with multiple coding capabilities using PC programming and smart devices.

¡ãRoborobo has actively participated in the “2018 Creative Robot Education” program
Roborobo is not only in the business of robot coding education. In fact, the company maintains an active presence in STEAM education-related businesses. In the past 10 years, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) has been a revolutionary force in education systems around the world. With the inclusion of the Arts, the core philosophy behind a STEAM education has been finely tuned and applied to systems around the world. In step with this global direction, Roborobo has been developing numerous STEAM education teaching materials and programs.

¡ãOpening ceremony of 2018 Creative Robot Education program
Roborobo has actively participated in the “2018 Creative Robot Education” program hosted by Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and supervised by Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement (KIRIA). The Creative Robot Education program began in 2013 for six years until 2018. This project was designed to bring creative education using robots to underprivileged children and children living in rural areas who would otherwise lack such opportunities. Roborobo and the Robot Education Contents Association supported this project. The CEO of Roborobo, Chang-nam Jang explained, “Through wonderful programs such as the Creative Robot Education Program, we are fully committed to providing coding education support to even more children who will grow to be the world renowned coding experts.”

¡ã$5 million Export Tower and Roborobo educational humanoid robot, ‘Romanbo,
The company has been aggressively marketing their products to the world since 2014, and currently, Roborobo is exporting educational robots to 20 countries, with a focus on China. Their efforts led to the company’s $5 million Export Tower, an export award for excellence at the 54th ‘Trade Day’ ceremony last December. As an educational robot company, Roborobo’s overseas exports speak volumes about the company’s business worth. Last December, the company received the $5 million Export Tower from Korea International Trade Association (KITA).

The company received their CCC certification from China and established a joint venture corporation in anticipation of their growing presence in China.

Roborobo has poured their efforts to the Chinese market. At the beginning, as the forerunner of educational robots, they focused on expanding their business in the region. Now, the company is focused on creating a more diverse product list to meet wider and more diverse educational needs. The company offers step-by-step robot education products to a wider customer base, from 3 years olds to high schoolers and older.

¡ãRoborobo was listed on the KOSDAQ market last december.
In addition, Roborobo is focused on expanding more deeply into the overseas market by forging collaborative ties, such as those with Georgia State University in the US. Last December, the company was listed on the KOSDAQ, a significant event in the company’s already long list of achievements.
