Since its establishment in 2008, ISAN SOLUTION (www.isans.co.kr) has been active in robot performance planning, events, exhibitions and other diverse robot entertainment-related activities. Recently, the company has have been supplying education robots based on their robot operation system (RMS) and simulator development technology.

ISAN SOLUTION is originally known for exhibition and performance planning. RoboThespians and other robots have been used to enhance understanding robots and communicate with children.

¡ã CodeStar
Based on their accumulated knowledge in performance technology, the company begain delving into the education robot business last year by developing and supplying COBLO and CodeStar. CodeStar was optimized for coding education; it comes as a fully made car, so students can focus on on the coding education and not worry about component loss or damage. Its compatibility with programming languages such as Scratch, Sketch, and Entry means it can be used for coding education for various age groups. It is also compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and Lego Blocks so the individual creativity of the user can be reflected in the diverse finished products.

¡ãCOBLO
COBLO is a robot coding education product for young children, which is currently available. Since kindergarten is a market for advanced learning, COBLO was developed for Daycare Centers and Art schools for children 5 to 7 years old; the blocks and coding board are made of wood for young children who can’t use the computer; the robot was designed so that kids can move the robot while learning the basics of coding and to get into the habit of coding.

Won Min Joeng, CEO of ISAN SOLUTION expressed pride by saying, “the government’s decision to adopt compulsory coding education is in line with the global trend and desirable. CodeStar, which was launched by headquarters at this time, keeps students keenly interested as they make amazing finished products that are optimized for coding education. Currently, the teachers who are tasked with SW education in pioneering schools have given the product good reviews in terms of functionality and price.” Through CodeStar and COBLO, ISAN SOLUTION has completed their lineup of robot coding education products for young children (ages 5 to 7), primary school children (ages 8 to 13), and middle school children (ages 14 to 16).

ISAN SOLUTION also participated in the market promotion project carried out by the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement, which set out to commercialize the robot coding education system for young children and build a test bed. This project uses the block toy type robot set COBLO for teaching creative coding to young children. ISAN also signed a contract with Sundujuja Co. Ltd. to collaborate on work to use coding robots for after school programs in primary schools and develop content as a way to bring coding education to the masses.

Since last year, ISAN SOLUTION has made a full-blown entry into the Chinese educational robot market, for which they partnered with KGP, a domestic industrial paper specialist company and We Lock Education Group, the largest private tutoring corporation in China. Founded in 2010, the We Lock Education Group has 1,700 franchise academies with access to three million students. They manage the construction of the institute’s curriculum system and its operation programs.

KGP, ISAN’s domestic partner’s role involves the establishment of directly managed private learning institutes in China, maintenance of the robotic products, production of teaching materials, as well as training and dispatch of instructors.

According to ISAN SOLUTION, "SW education, for which creativity is important in Korea, will be compulsory in education from 2018. It is intersecting with the 4th Industrial Revolution. We are responding with a head start in educational vision, and students will have fun learning SW creatively, as education robots become more activated.” The company has an optimisitc outlook for the education robot market. With entrance into the Chinese market, the company is growing into a global education robot company.
