¡ãYally Inc., CEO Jae Min Yoon and Yally Panda

Yally Inc. (www.yally.com) was founded in 2010 with the goal of developing products that help people see, hear, think, feel, and speak. With the first-time development and launching of this interactive speech toy domestically and abroad, they are pioneers in this field.

¡ãNew concept conversational type character community service 'Yally Mate'

Their main development products consist of the intelligent conversation system and speech toy, the conversation robot. Before the creation of the company, in 2003 they began a new concept conversational type character community service Yally Mate and focused on technology for the development of natural language processing such as conversation products (conversation doll, conversation toy, conversation robot), conversation service, conversation solution, and conversation corpus development.

The voice conversation toy is an ICT convergent product that enables a wide variety of conversations, such as multilingual conversation, emotional conversation, information conversation, play conversation, as well as daily conversation, providing differentiated service to a wide range of demographics such as children and the elderly. In fact, Yally’s conversation solutions are currently being used by Korean communication robot companies.

The company currently holds more than 100 intellectual property rights including patents. Yally’s pursuit of substance over quantity has led the company to invest more than 50% of its earnings back into R&D, to fuel their goal of being a technology leader.

Meaning Love, Friend, Dream, and Future, Yally is in constant pursuit of new technologies based on creative thinking and are committed to corporate development with continued learning and fearless competition through trial and error.

¡ãConversational doll 'Kkaemang'

Yally’s conversation products include conversation mannequins that convey product information through dialogue, such as Kkaemang, Altokky (Curry), and Yally Panda. Kkaemang is a conversational doll that helps the language development in children by enhancing their communication skills for children who need to converse with their mothers. Altokky (Curry, Cheese) is an emotional conversation friend born of an egg, and hence, can be a new, cute friend to a child. Yally Panda is from another planet in a distant universe and has come to Earth to spread the energy of love to children as a conversation panda toy. In addition, there are social robot dolls Bandal and friends Rover and Tover who spread their love to children.

¡ãYally Talk

Dialogue services include Yally Mate and Yally Talk. Yally Mate (www.yallymate.com), a new conceptual artificial intelligence character around which a dialogue community service was opened in 2004 and has been in operation ever since. The service provides not only conversation service but a way to communincate the user’s emotions. These have given the company over 10 years of experience in conversation systems’ technologies.

Yali Mate is a community service that enables users and characters (agent) to communicate a variety of emotions and communications on the PC background image, instant messenger, and homepage. Based on natural language, the service makes possible emotion recognition, emotional expression, motion animation, and multiple conversations.

The Dialog Doll and Robot Dialog System are available as part of the Conversation with Things Solution. The Yally voice conversation system includes Korean and multilingual question and answer conversation technology, which was developed in-house and localized to work not only with the server but also in the embedded system, so that it can be integrated in a variety of fields such as conversation toys, conversation dolls, conversation robots, as well as the IoT field.

Yally collaborated with the multinational company, SYSTRAN International to develop and launch a multilingual translation agent. With HYSONIC, a listed company, they developed and launched Yally Talk, which works together with digital toys to converse. In these ways the company has shown its ability to produce convergence products in a variety of fields and to pave the way for new paradigms.

¡ãSocial Robot 'Tover'

Since 2011, the company’s technology has been recognized by KT, and they developed and delivered the communication system for KT’s Kibot 2 children's robot; they also exclusively developed and delivered KT’s interactive TV service and conversation corpus (DB). With such efforts the company is strengthening its capabilities as a specialized technology company.

In the future, Yally plans to create new value and products through active research and development and collaboration with consequential corporations, as well as continued internal research and development in their quest to become an internationally recognized expert in the dialog technology.
