Robostar Co., Ltd. (www.robostar.co.kr) is a KOSDAQ-listed Korean industrial robot company established in 1999. The Cartesian Robot, SCARA Robot, and the Transfer Robot that is used for displays and semiconductors, are the company’s main products, whose export sales account for 30% of the total sales.

As the OLED market continues to expand and investment in large-sized companies continues to increase, sales have grown 16%, into the 150 billion won mark last year. In an organization composed of 300 members, rougly 40% are devoted to R&D.

In 2003, Robostar established a Chinese corporation, followed by one in Vietnam this year. The company has offices in China and Japan.

The Transfer Robot is a manufacturing robot that is used in the transportation and stacking process, a critical role of the FPD manufacturing process. It is being supplied to major FPD manufacturers in Korea and abroad. The company offers various sizes and modes ranging from 1G to 10G. The company’s main products are the ATM Robot and Vacuum Robot.

The semiconductor robot equipment is used for transfer robots that are used for transportation and stacking, which is critical in the semiconductor manufacturing process; with the smooth transfer of wafers through various semiconductor processes, it is sold to numerous semiconductor manufacturers in Korea and abroad. The precision stage field is the Base Machine of processing equipment and ultra precision test equipment for factory automation and logistics system feeder in the various FPD industries and conveying device for the logistics system. It is supplied for processing equipment and other ultra-precision processing and test equipment in domestic and overseas FPD markets. The company offers models of various sizes and types for customer satisfaction. Major products include Gantry Stage, Hybrid (Split) Type Stage, Airbearing Stage, and Customized Stage.

The system equipment is for aligning and supplying the small parts used in robot and motion control in a wide range of industries, including IT, FPD, semiconductor, Solar, and LED industries. The equipment is supplied for the manufacturing processes of diverse electronic parts, such as the handling and alignment of domestic and foreign micro parts, attachment of parts, processing, molding, cutting, coating, deposition, and process monitoring. The company offers various models with different sizes and types according the customer’s needs. Their major products include screw driver(fasteners), Solar Cell Tester & Sorter, Solar cell Incoming & Inspection, SMT Base Machine, High-speed parts aligner and Chip Mounter.
