Future Robot’s business plans also include the mass production of their new smart service robot “Furo-Desk,” set to commence in 2018. As Korea’s representative service robot company, Future Robot has developed an AI robot, such as Furo, that can express emotions. On the heels of the successful commercialization of Korea’s first civil grievance and library assistance robots, they are currently offering robot information assistance at San Jose airport in the US. Also, with the recent launching of the Fintech-based Commerce Bot “Furo-Desk,” Future Robot is looking to expand its organization; at the coming 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, it plans to provide multi-lingual AI translation services with several well-placed products in the stadium.
Based on their ultra precision mold business, ShinHeung has been developing and producing electronic and automative components as a comprehensive precision parts company. Through this cooperative agreement with Future Robot, ShinHeung Precision will be participating in the robotic industry – a key component of the 4th Industrial Revolution – thus ushering in new business expectations and opportunities for the company.
Future Robot CEO Song Se-kyeong asserted, “By operating 17 global sites, using the latest Samsung Electronics’ electronic goods and with our production investment agreement with ShinHeung Precision, a global high precision mold manufacturer, we have set up a system for the mass production of Future Robot’s intelligent robots, and can now push forward into the 4th Industrial Revolution’s core area – the popularization of AI robots and global commercialization – in a competitive manner. He continued, “This is an exemplary case of mutual trust and voluntary cooperation among Korean companies. By combining the strengths of a mid-sized venture company with superior robot technology and a mid-sized company with global production capabilities, this partnership will be evaluated as one that has enhanced future business opportunites and eliminated risks.” |
