Fine Robotics Co., Ltd.(www.finerobotics.com) is a Korean robot venture company that was established in January 2015 with the purpose of building a “smart living environment” for people using its core robot technology. With products based on their innovative and stand-out technology, the company seeks to lead the way in people-oriented commercialization of robot technology.

Fine Robotics develops, produces and sells home cleaning robots. One of their most popular products is SENSEBOT, a multi-purpose Handy Cleaner whose development was finalized in May of this year.

As its name implies, SENSEBOT is able to sense the user’s needs and provide a customized cleaning experience by using its suctioning vacuum cleaner function as well as mopping function. These functions can be activated simultaneously in this new concept cleaner. In addition, a variety of accessories are included to allow more targeted types of cleaning, and the cyclone action type handy cleaner can also be attached to various nozzles a mop function.

The Handy Cleaner was developed with a replacement battery design to allow safe cleaning without worrying about the cleaning time or weakening power due to low battery, as the spare battery can be used when the cleaner loses power, so that the cleaning momentum is not lost. One battery is included with the product; additional batteries can be purchased separately.

The Robot Mop Cleaner is a vacuum cleaner with a mop attached. It has four cliff (drop) sensors at the front and rear, with a shadow cleaning function to enable smart cleaning.

SENSEBOT has adopted a cyclone cleaning action for a more powerful suction and was designed so that, through centrifugal force, the air and dust suctioned by the vacuum cleaner are separated once inside the machine – the dust is sent to the dust bin, and the air is released. With a powerful torque of about 20,000 revolutions per minute, daily accumulation of dust is easily maintained. The handy cleaner has a two-stage cleaning system consisting of a dust-lifting case filter for the first stage for the even filtering of dust. In the second-stage, the HEPA filter prevents 99.96% of the dust from being released back into the environment. The handy cleaner is set to the second stage. The dust collector’s transparent bin allows easy monitoring of dust accumulation and the one-touch design allows the container to be emptied easily and quickly. The wide nozzle allows large spaces to be cleaned quickly and easily, but it can also be removed to clean narrow spaces. The cleaning handle stands 75cm, so that cleaning can take place without bending; difficult to reach high areas become more accessible.

By using the crevice attachment, it is easy to clean hidden areas such as between pieces of furniture, the car interior, and desks. The brush attachment easily sucks up dust from bedding, sofas, cushions and carpet. With Fine Robotic’s proprietary algorithm, SENSEBOT helps to clean up your life. These various accessory attachments such as the lengthening extension, crevice and brush attachments can be used to make cleaning more convenient and efficient.

The SENSEBOT consists of a handy cleaner (includes HEPA filter and battery), mopping robot (includes battery), cleaning brush, adapter for charging, instruction manual, two made-for SENSEBOT mopping covers, and a measuring cup.

The size of the handy vacuum cleaner is 220ⅹ335ⅹ203mm and weighs about 1.2kg. After a two-hour charge time, the lithium ion battery can be used for about 40 minutes in the standard mode and 20 minutes in the turbo mode.

▲Mopping Robot Cleaner

The Mopping Robot Cleaner measures 260ⅹ291ⅹ122mm, and weighs 1.4kg. After a two-hour charge time, the lithium ion battery is powered for 3 hours. A 75 cm lengthening attachment, crevice attachment, and brush attachment, Handy cleaner battery, HEPA filter, washable filter, mopping covers (Catch mop) can be purchased separately.

The company is currently exporting to European countries such as Sweden and Germany, and to Asian countries such as Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The company was named “2016 Korea Robot Company of the Year” by The Robot News.
